Our Story
Beckett Law LLC opened in 1991 by Suzann L. Beckett and a law school classmate and good friend, Jan van der Werff. Since then, the firm has claimed an iconic landmark that sits on the corner of Prospect Avenue, a distinguishable house.
Inside this house, you will discover a small law firm composed of compassionate attorneys, hard working paralegals, interns aspiring to become leading attorneys, and a team that comes together to change many lives.
Making decisions such as going through probate, setting up an estate plan, or filing for bankruptcy, can be very stressful. We are here to walk you through the process, set expectations, and ultimately achieve your goals.

Open A Frontline Law Firm
Frontline began in 1990, when Tom Lincoln and Randy Gustafson left their former firm to start their own partnership. LGC was then known as Lincoln & Gustafson, working primarily on insurance defense cases for several insurers. As the firm’s reputation for superior work grew, so did the firm’s caseload, which led to the firm hiring several associates. One of those associates was Ted Cercos, who was hired in April of 1997. Ted proved to be an outstanding associate, and an even better partner. Ultimately, the firm became Lincoln, Gustafson & Cercos in April of 1998.
In those early years, KingLaw s employed just a handful of attorneys working out of a single location in San Diego. In the more than 25 years since the firm’s founding, KingLaw grew steadily, hiring some of the best and brightest associates and staff to meet KingLaw expanding client needs.Frequently Asked Questions
